What is a facelift?

  Facial plastic surgery is the general name for plastic surgery interventions that are performed due to deformities or structural problems of the face.  In some patients, surgeries can also be performed due to external factors that develop after a certain age in order to change the areas of discomfort in some patients.  The main goal of surgical interventions that cover the entire face or a specific area is to create a facial appearance that meets the person’s expectations and eliminates existing problems.

To whom is the facelift surgery applied?

  There are no specific criteria for applying facial plastic surgeries.  Facial plastic surgery can be performed on everyone over the age of 18 (if medically suitable for the operation).  In general, deformities, sagging, and color changes that occur on the face and around the face, depending on the age of women and men over 40 years of age, are sufficient criteria for facial aesthetics.  Reasons such as irregular diet, not paying enough attention to skin cleansing, lack of interest in water consumption, excessive exposure to sunlight, smoking and stress are among the factors that make a facelift necessary.

What are the types of facelift?

  Facial plastic surgeries are operations that cover a specific area or all areas of the face.  In this context, surgical and non-surgical interventions can be listed as follows;

How is facelift applied?

  Facelifts are performed with or without surgery, but non-surgical approaches are generally preferred.  Among the methods used, there are applications such as botox, fillers, mesotherapy, platelet rich plasma applications, dermapen, microdermabrasion, radiofrequency, facelift, and chemical peels.  After the operation, no scars are left on the patient’s face, and the return to social life is very short.

What are the signs of aging that require facelift?

What should be considered after facial applications?

  It is recommended not to smoke so that the face has a faster healing process in the postoperative period after application.  Although it varies according to the type of operation, the things that must be considered after the operation include avoiding movements that raise blood pressure in general, and taking a break from exercises for a certain period of time.  The face area should not be rubbed, medications recommended by the doctor should be used without interruption.

Are facial applications permanent?

  The duration of the applications varies according to the age of the person, the technique used, and the sensitivity of the process for the sake of healthy skin.  With a properly planned surgery, it is possible to achieve a youthful appearance for up to 10-20 years.  Although operations do not prevent aging, they can make it possible to eliminate the effects of aging.
